Research Assistants

Sophie Wagner

Sophie is a senior pursuing a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in neuroscience. She is from Hershey, PA, where she first discovered her love for Penn State. Sophie is interested in clinical neuropsychology, specifically pediatrics. After graduation, she hopes to attend medical school and become a pediatrician. Outside of the lab, Sophie is involved in various community service projects and is an undergraduate learning assistant for Chem 202. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, traveling, and playing soccer.

Jenna Irons

Jenna is a junior pursuing a B.S. in Psychology, with a concentration in neuroscience. She is from Greensburg, PA, which is outside of Pittsburgh. She plans to attend medical school with the goal of becoming a pediatrician. Jenna enjoys participating in the club Remote Area Medical (RAM) where she volunteers in underserved areas to help provide free health care. She also enjoys teaching preschoolers at church, working at her local hospital, and volunteering as a learning assistant for organic chemistry. In her free time, she loves to read, travel, hike, ski, and watch ice hockey (especially the Penguins).

Jackie Li

Jackie is a junior at State College Area High School interested in pursuing a major in Psychology. She has always wanted to help children in a hospital environment in hopes of becoming a pediatric surgeon. Jackie participates in several extracurricular activities including Debate, DECA, and National Honors Society. She is also the president of HOSA.  Outside of school, she frequently volunteers at the hospital and the local science museum. In her free time, Jackie enjoys teaching elementary schoolers how to code, playing tennis, training for her black belt, and drawing. 

Haley Hamschin

Haley is a junior from Pittsburgh, PA pursuing a B.S. in Psychology with a Human Development and Family Studies minor. She is passionate about helping people of all ages and hopes to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology upon completion of her undergraduate education at Penn State. Outside of the lab, Haley is the State College, PA NEDA Walk Coordinator, is involved in THON, and is a member of the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, hiking, hanging out with friends and family, spending time with her dog, and watching sports.
